How does Chart Studio work?
Chart Studio uses Chart.js to render interactive charts on an HTML5 canvas element. You provide data via the built-in table editor, CSV paste, or sample datasets. The tool maps your data columns to chart datasets, applies your selected color palette and styling options, and renders the chart in real time. All processing happens in your browser -- no data is sent to any server.
What chart types are available?
Nine chart types: bar (vertical and horizontal), line, area (filled line), pie, doughnut, scatter, radar, and polar area. Each type has specific styling options like smooth curves for line charts and corner radius for bar charts.
How do I get data into Chart Studio?
Three ways: edit data directly in the table editor with add/remove rows and columns, paste CSV or tab-separated data that is automatically parsed, or load one of five sample datasets (world population, temperature anomaly, energy mix, programming languages, coffee consumption) that come with recommended chart types and palettes.
Can I export charts as images?
Yes. Export as high-resolution PNG (rendered at your display's native resolution for retina-quality output), copy directly to clipboard as an image, or export the underlying data as CSV or JSON files.
