How does the Hydration Tracker work?

The tool stores your daily water intake as a running total in localStorage, keyed by the current date. Each time you log a drink, the amount is added to today's total and the progress bar recalculates as (intake / goal) * 100%. At midnight (detected on next interaction), the current day's data is archived into a history array and the active counter resets to zero for the new day.

How much water should I drink per day?

The general guideline is about 8 cups (64 oz / 2 liters) per day, but individual needs vary based on body weight, activity level, and climate. The tool lets you set a personalized daily goal.

Does it save my progress across days?

Yes. Your daily intake and history are saved in your browser's local storage. You can see past days and track your hydration consistency over time.

Does the tracker reset each day?

Yes. The current day's intake resets at midnight so you start fresh each day. Previous days are saved in your history for reference.
