Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Social Media Safe Zone Preview work?

Your image is drawn onto an HTML Canvas scaled to the exact pixel dimensions of each platform's format (e.g., 1080x1920 for Instagram Stories). Semi-transparent red rectangles are overlaid at hardcoded coordinates matching where each platform's UI elements appear -- username bars, like buttons, captions, and side icons. The canvas renders at HiDPI resolution using devicePixelRatio scaling.

What platforms are supported?

Instagram (feed posts, stories, reels), TikTok, YouTube thumbnails, and other common social media formats. Each platform has different safe zones where UI elements (like buttons and text) overlay your content.

What is a safe zone?

The area of your image or video that is not covered by the platform's UI elements (profile icons, like buttons, captions, etc.). Keeping important content within the safe zone ensures it is always visible.

Does it modify my image?

No. The tool shows transparent overlays on top of your image to indicate where the platform UI covers content. Your original image is not changed.
